Session 2: 18 April 4.30 - 7.00 Producing our videos with Birmingham Live Community Journalist Nathan Clarke

Further build your messaging and video skills. We will build our messages further, learn further techniques for creating videos, and re-record our enhanced videos for powerful videos celebrating migration.

Venue: The Old Library at Zellig, Gibb Street, Digbeth, Birmingham, B9 4AT

We are hosting this series of training sessions to support all migrants in creating and publishing their own narratives. Join us to learn how to present yourself and develop compelling messages about the positive impact of migration and things that matter to you.

At our Media Lab training, we will learn what works in getting our message across to a journalist in an interview, and practice preparing the message and giving interviews on and off camera.

Let’s work together to get our stories published and shape the public discourse on migration as we see it! We welcome all migrants, regardless of your circumstances, background or profession. Whether you’re a sports- or a businessperson, a carer, a nurse, a cleaner, a teacher, a builder, an asylum seeker not allowed to work, or simply a person who has something to say - come and learn with us to tell your story, on your own terms.
