Migrant Voice - Glasgow Media Lab

Migrant Voice is organising an online Media Lab for our members in Scotland on Tuesday 8 September, 2-4pm. We're excited to announce that the programme will include two sessions led by Wilma Smith, GMAC Short Film Project Manager. The charity GMAC Film is an open access media centre.

Sessions include:

  • Micro Budget Filmmaking Workshop: Making films on a small budget.
  • Introducton to the new commissioning scheme Little Pictures: Little Pictures is an exciting new project that will encourage new filmmakers to develop their voice and take creative risks, and will help to develop talent from under-represented groups across Scotland. Later this month, GMAC Film Little Pictures will call for short audio/video proposals for short films in all genres - live action, documentary, animation and experimental. Six will be commissioned and developed. Each filmmaker will be supported by a mentor through the production and distribution processes and supported in developing further opportunities into the screen sector.

Scots and new Scots from all over the world - asylum seekers, refugees, and other migrants living in Scotland - join us online on Tuesday 8 September, 2-4pm, to learn media skills that will make your voices heard.
