On 12 June, PinkNews picked up a story in The i, which included an interview with Migrant Voice member Eric. The PinkNews article reported on Eric's story as a gay man who fled persecution in his home country of Gabon to his experiences as an asylum seeker in the UK.
"Will I just die in this process, in this system, this pandemic? Am I just going to be another statistic?", he said.
