Migrant Voice - Many Voices, One Community

The ‘Many Voices, One Community ' project will bring migrant and host communities together to work to build stronger communities in Glasgow. The project, funded by Awards for All Scotland, aims to build better understanding of migrants’ experiences and contributions to life in Glasgow as well as build dialogue between communities.

The project will run a series of training sessions on how to develop your message, storytelling, and how to film short, creative, positive videos and how to edit and upload them to social media. Participants will additionally be supported with mentoring sessions. The aim is for participants to gain new skills, knowledge and confidence in how to tell their stories and how to use video messaging tools to do so.

Participants will produce a series of videos around the subject of migration, including immigration and emigration, diversity of communities, integration, anti-xenophobic messages, equality, home and community.

The videos will be used to engage the wider host community in dialogue around migration and community building at 3 public screening events.
