Migrant Voice - Many Faces, One City

Testing

The aim of ‘Many Faces, One City’ is to celebrate the contribution of migrants to life in Birmingham in order to promote dialogue and a greater sense of community cohesion. The project will bring together migrant and host community participants and equip them with the skills and confidence to tell positive stories of migration to the wider public.

The project, funded by Awards for All England, will organise a series of training sessions
to enable participants to tell positive stories of migration.

From January 20th, 2015 participants will start a series of training in writing articles, conducting interviews, taking photos, making videos, and using social media platforms. Participants will put these new skills into practice and produce ten stories of migrants from different parts of the world, living in different parts of Birmingham. The ten migrants' stories will then be shared with a wider audience through an online platform. We will organise a public launch to share the stories and bring together members of migrants and host communities.
