Migrant Voice - Media lab general election special Birmingham

“Making our voices heard during the election time”

Our next Media Lab session focuses on ‘Making our voices heard during the election time’ and takes place on May 17th 2017.

Many commentators have said this election is about hard brexit vs a more progressive brexit, with immigration being the centre of this vote.

There is much misinformation about migration in the UK but with a little information from us we can build understanding and solidarity.

This will be a practical workshop where we will work in teams to get our message across on a number of platforms including the MPs and to the general public.

At the end of the session we will have sent out letters and posted our views online.

We will have a group of grass roots activists who have a wide experience of election/campaigning work to lead each group.

Where: Centrala, Unit 4 Minerva Works, 158 Fazeley Street, B5 5RT

When: Wednesday 17th of May. Session 1 runs from 11am-2pm Session 2 runs from 5.30-8pm. Both sessions are identical.

To book: please write to salman@migrantvoice.org and indicate whether you would like to attend session 1 or 2.
